@carlsonbjj The Levine paper on resting heart rate being associated with longevity in mammals is interesting because it shows there is an inverse relationship between heart rate and life expectancy across different mammal species. My resting heart rate ranges from 57-59.
There are apps that use the camera on an iPhone to measure your heart rate too (not oxygen levels though). I use the Withings Health Mate app, it’s free, as is an account on their site where it will put the data in a nice graph for you too.

Samsung Galaxy Note 4 has one built in, also measures blood oxygen levels, pretty sweet.
