Last night I had the profoundly interesting experience of going straight from a super hot sauna (220 F at its hottest) directly into an ice bath (emphasis on ice… lots of ice). We alternated this for four rounds. Afterwards, I felt very happy and relaxed and, most surprising of all, I found it had COMPLETELY reset my circadian rhythm. To say it has piqued my interest would be a dramatic understatement!
It looks like the study measured a whole hour of cold water immersion. Any thoughts on how this would compare to a 15 - 20 minute shower?
Isn’t that what amphetamines do? Wim Hof knows something :)
