Severity: “Based on CDC criteria, among our study patients, 74% of those had severe COVID-19 infection. The data analyses revealed that the severe disease infection was less prevalent in patients with vitamin D sufficiency (63·6% vs. 77·2% p=0·02).” Mortality: No one under the age of 40 died. In those over 40, 20% were vitamin D insufficient but they comprised of 90.3% of the deaths.
